SCOOT around San Francisco

I met the lovely ladies of Scoot Networks; Sophie and Jenny yesterday when 7x7 and Ghirardelli Square staged the annual celebration of the Best of San Francisco. Hundreds of guests enjoyed warm breezes at an exclusive event with delicious bites, specialty cocktails and a red scooter.

We are Scoot Networks

We create networks of scoots. Scoots are shared, electric, smartphone-activated motorscooters you can ride in the city. At Scoot Networks we teach you how to ride the scoots, we keep the scoots running, and we find places to put more scoots to make the network bigger.

We make life in the city better

Scoots are fast, cheap, and easy to park, so they are good for you. They are also clean and efficient so they are good for the air and the climate. And they don’t take up much space on the road or at the curb which is good for everyone else.

We are passionate and dedicated

We are city slickers, gear heads, techies, tree huggers, and teachers who love our jobs, love our riders, and love the way Scoot is changing how we all get around the city.
Scoot’s founders are Michael Keating (Chief Executive Officer), Matt Ewing (Chief Community Officer), and Dan Riegel (Chief Technology Officer). Our Community Manager is Jenni Thomas, our Fleet Manager is John Stueve, and our Interface Engineer is Christian Walker. Sophie Lubin and Tom Fietsch are our marketing and operations consultants. Loren Passmore and Peter Russo designed and engineered our hardware, and Eric Campbell laid the foundation for our server.
Our members learn to ride scoots from our awesome Scoot Coaches: Jamie Tjahaja, Alex Lyon, Becca Graham, and Halie Kampman. Robert Lavery and Maitland Kelly help us maintain our fleet.
We are advised and supported by brilliant investors and experts in business, technology, and the environment including Justin Dawe, Greenstart, Carl Pope, Lisa Gansky, Chris Gruwell, Jerry Fiddler, Rahul Prakash, Sharky Laguana, Mark Jacobstein, Adam Werbach, Joanne Wilson, Jed Levin, Shane Johnson, James Rucker, Pengfei Qi, Armando Fox, and many others.
Want to join?
We’re looking for a few scooter/motorcycle/moped lovers to join the team as part-time Coaches. Here are some additional details.
