Taking it's name from the classic Bowie song, Rebel Rebel is one of the old school NYC boutique record shops. The walls are lined with books, posters and records from obscure 80's bands and brand new artists and vinyl is piled up everywhere. It's a treasure trove of music old and new. The latest imports from the UK are stocked behind the register and if you don't see what you want, the owner David will find it for you. If you are a Bowie fan this shop makes you feel like you hit the jackpot. Bleecker Street got a gentrified make over in the 2000's but thankfully Rebel Rebel retains the real spirit of Greenwich Village.
