Marianne Faithful - Before Kate Moss and Alison Mosshart.

Marianne Faithfull, the original girl on a motorcycle, has a career which has spanned five decades in music, film and fashion. In the 1960s her work in pop and rock music was iconic and epoch defining but became overshadowed by her struggle with drug abuse during the 1970s. In the first two thirds of the 70s she produced only two little-noticed studio albums. She returned late in 1979 with the highly acclaimed landmark album, Broken English. Faithfull's subsequent solo work, often critically acclaimed, has at times been overshadowed by her personal history. From 1966 to 1970, she had a highly publicised romantic relationship with Mick Jagger. She co-wrote "Sister Morphine", which is featured on the Stones' Sticky Fingers album. Marianne continues to be a style icon who has obviously influenced Kate Moss and Alison Mosshart.
