Brit Week In LA - It's OK To Go To Art School

For the first time, the West Coast Chapter alumni association of The University of the Arts London, will host a special exhibition titled The Journey (It’s OK To Go To Art School). In conjunction with Britweek, special works will be on display by distinguished alumni that includes personal archive pieces created during their time at university, displayed alongside works from their current practice. Musician and photographer Julian Lennon is also exhibiting at The Journey (Its OK To Go To Art School).  To celebrate his recent 50th birthday, Julian released the new single “Someday”, an uplifting track.  Read the review atRolling Stone Music. This rare display showcases an intimate portrait of Sir Paul McCartney from famed photographer MJ Kim, works by iconic sculpture Philip Vaughan, designer of the Hayward Neon Tower, landmark of London’s Southbank for over 30 years, and pieces by avant-garde designer and musician Keanan Duffty whose design collaboration with David Bowie gained wide industry acclaim and set a benchmark for designer collaborations. This special exhibition The Journey (It’s OK To Go To Art School) features the works of approximately 15 creatives and illustrates the continual evolving process of the creative mind.
